The work

From sorrow, the possibility of new beginnings.

In Tears of Phoenix, the mythical tears of the phoenix are envisioned as the essence that transforms dreams into reality. The driftwood, a remnant of the phoenix’s former self, releases crystal tears that symbolize the birth of new dreams and beginnings. As these tears fall upon the copper surface, they create ripples of renewal and new flames, embodying the idea that from the ashes of the past, new life emerges. The composition serves as a portal, inviting the viewer to gaze into the space between sorrow and rebirth, and to witness the transformation of loss into the flame of new possibilities.
